Our circus days have been carefully developed by the Montana Events team
consisting of a deputy head teacher and a professional circus skilled entertainer.

P.S.H.E. and Citizenship
Children take part in a wide range of circus skills activities. They learn to face new
challenges positively and to recognise their own worth as individuals. Relationships with others are developed, practising social skills such as sharing, taking turns and
helping others.

Fun
The most rewarding part of our day is to see the enjoyment we bring to the children whilst they learn.

P.E.
Children explore and perform new skills and actions with increasing control and co-ordination. They can develop sequences individually, with a partner, or in a group to perform to others.

Inclusion
Our lessons provide learning
opportunities for all pupils where
everyone’s
contribution is valued.

Educational benefits
Our classes develop:
Self-esteem
Confidence
Co-ordination
Concentration
Performance
Spatial Awareness

Our days are flexible to fit to your timetable. An example day would start with an introduction in your assembly, demonstrating a range of circus skills, including those that the children will practise in their workshops. This is followed by lessons of different lengths to fit various age groups.

The day will finish with a shop facility giving children the opportunity to purchase circus equipment so they can practise their new skills.

Workshop times: Classes of no more then 35 at a time. KS1 20-30 minute sessions, KS2 30 - 40 minute classes - we will fit as many as is possible into your timetable. The children will learn activities such as: juggling (obviously focussing on basic throwing and catching for KS1), plate spinning, Diablo, club balancing and stilts.
